Two movies from years gone by that everyone should see:

1986 Terrorvision. I watched this comedy/horror in 1986 as a young lad, and
From that point until 2001 when I finaly got one, I wanted a large old fashion
Big Dish to watch tv with.
Its a story about a mutant alien that is mistakenly beamed into the home of
a VERY odd family via their "do it yourself 100" sat dish. Lots of comic slap
stick type horror, and a great ending. Plus the special effects are really good for the era.

The second: 1985 Return Of The Living Dead.
The best zombie move ever. Period.
two guys unleash and unstoppable version of the undead, and tons of laughs, and horror follow.

Both of these are now avalible on Blu-Ray

It was shot in Louisville, Kentucky. I was on the Police Department
10 years after it was filmed and many of the officers that were in the
movie were "command staff" by then. I also recognize the EMTs in
    there as well.

The funny thing is the building it was shot in was an old department
store warehouse for "Stewarts" which was the place to shop in the
1930's-1970's in Louisville. It's since been renovated to industrial
style loft apartments and I lived there for 6 years. Nice place, but
    now in high crime area.

I couldn't help but think of this movie when I saw things in there.
The Nuke scene at the end was fiction I can assure you that Louisville
is still here. I think we may have a few of the zombies still here
    too.
