Installing doors now. Going well. Have a problem with one. I have a game named Classic Solitaire by Tim Weinkfien. Good card game. It works well on the Wildcat and Mystic and PCBoard. It loads up here, but after using
it and then exiting, the connection is terminated. Tried running under
both GameSrv and Net2bbs, same thing happens. Had a similiar problem when
ran under WWIV, it would not disconnect the call but it exited and never
    loaded the bbs again.

You might want you check your exitinfo.*N and compare it to the doors that do work correctly. What is the door file name, it I have it.. should be pretty quick to test it. There are about 10 doors plus a cd-rom door working here. using ezy 3.0 and net2bbs netfoss.

I already found the last newest version 3.0 gold. From the history.txt it appears that the 2.0 version was written with DDPLUS 6.7 Turbo Pascal 7.0
Door Kit. Neither exe file will run over here.

    C:\Doors\Classic>CSGSETUP.exe
    Runtime error 200 at 1708:0091.
    C:\Doors\Classic>CLASSIC.exe
    Runtime error 200 at 242A:0091.

Nothing i've used can repair or fix the runtime error 200, I used tppatch, patchcrt and UNP, but no luck. Both files are not compressed either with pklite. So no cigar this this time.

Tournament Blackjack TM (TBJ) Version 2.30!! by GAC\Vagabond Software is freeware plus supports interbbs. You might like it just as much.

I get it to run on Mystic and Wildcat boards. I use the tp7*.* tsr and
it will run and it will return to bbs. Except here on Ezy. As soon as
you exit the game, it disconnects the user.

Well I was able to get it going. To get it to work on my other boards I used the TP5PFIX.COM tsr and it ran the classic.exe just fine and worked fine, then executing the com file again it unloads it. But that didn't work for EZY. So basically whatever happens, reading the exitinfo file it was not happening as other doors. So I found a command line option for ezy -R which relogs the user back in. So I tried it and now after exiting the game I have the bat file
calling classic.exe to execute a modified bbs.bat file using the -R option. So I have my game.

Now to work on some of my JNS Software games. Some work and some don't which is confusing because they are all essentially modeled after each other. For some reason come of the games can not read a configuration file and some others
can and it is the same file. Go figure

there's another patcher that seems to be better than the others... i've used it only a couple of times but it looks for and tries at least three different patching methods... it worked on one program i needed to patch when nothing else would... i just don't remember the name of it or where it is currently residing :(

You might be thinking about ucfcup34 that has cup386.com it works best in a plain DOS environment. I just hate the need to reboot into freedos just to try and fix something that UNP can do 80% of the time in winblowz. Thanks for reminding me about another option my friend ;)

no, that's not a patcher... that's another decompressor... the kennedy software patcher is the one i was thinking of... there's more than one known as patchcrt and that's why i was confused...

it works best in a plain DOS environment. I just hate the need to

yup... i have pklite, lzexe and unp here... i've gotten to where i use unp for unpacking most all DOS executables... once i get them unpacked and patched, i save them so that i hopefully don't have to do it again... if systems i host need them, it is easy enough to transfer them over as long as i can find them...

exactly... i actually extracted the CRT module from my TP units so that i don't have to worry about that flawed code... then i pulled all the good stuff and used that with my own replacement routines for some others... i don't recall any complaints from folks using my tools...

seems to me that it is easier to just patch the few bytes that are in the flawed routine... sometimes some things are just over engineered ;)
