• Official ARJ Archive MIME type

From Nuskooler@1:2320/100 to All on Fri May 19 21:46:58 2017
I'm looking for a primary / solid source of information on the official
ARJ archive MIME type. This is to get it in mime-db and eventually the
    IANA registry.

Is Robert Jung still lurking around anywhere?

The main types I find out in the wild:
    * application/x-arj: This /seems/ to be the most used. It's used in
file(1), many Linux distros for mappings, various web servers and so on
    * application/arj: Less common, used in some web servers

I've yet to find an official reference yet however. Any information
    greatly appreciated!

    hope arj.sourceforge.net helps you.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunantely I couldn't find anything there.
Downloaded the archives and grepped through, checked the mailing list (basically dead for years), etc. This is going to take some luck!

The most common indice for this to my knowledge is file mime.types used by Apache server. I checked it and arj isn't even listed, period. :( Looks like IANA has some work to do lol I registered Arj many moons ago and still use it today. Great for secure/signed archives.

Can always add that type to the file yourself, IIRC :)
