I have a question...I have always heard that wcCasino sucks up memory
under NT. Does anyone know what I would have to do to run it under Win95
on another machine on my network?

Must I run wcOnline on the other machine?

    Can anyone help me?

I've not heard that, and we run it under NT without any such memory
problems (although it's not used heavily).

    Thomas,

I shut it down when I was running Win 95 since few used it and it sucked
a lot of memory on that OS as well.

wcListserver seems to be a good competitor with the mem usage however.

There hasn't been any reported issues of wcCasino having a memory leak
or using more memory under Windows NT than Windows 95. Most of the add on products can run on another machince without any problems, you just need
to make sure you have a network connection to that machine (with TCP/IP included in the network of your machines).

    For Example:
    Machine 1: wcServer
    Machine 2: wcOnline
    Machine 3: wcMail, wcSMTP

What happens is that the wcServer machine communicates with the other
machinces through a UDP broadcast on port 4012, so the other machines
will know where to connect to wcServer.

I do admit that all cases are not similar and most people don't run into
any major situations but this can be a case by case issue. If people do
run into a situation we are more than happy to find out what is the
situation and getting an answer to that person.

    Thomas,

I don't know if it would hog more or not, I do believe wcCasino however
    is a big hog.

One thing not to get confused with however is using utilities that tell
you how much memory a particular program uses. The problem is that many
of these utilities will tell you the combine memory use of all the *.dll
    files used by the program.

You add all of this "memory usage" up and you don't have enough physical
or virtual memory available in many cases.

Basically I believe the only way to tell is by graphing it before launch
    and after.
