Heh... thanks Drew for the reply. It must be an echo only a few are carrying now, perhaps due to a lack of activity. I would have thought the late Mr Jobs products would have had a few more posting here.

    Cheers, Paul

I still pick it up here, this echo was always a bit under carried back in the day. I was the moderator for a time way back in 1991/1992 or thereabouts until my hub stopped getting the echo from his upstream connection. Most of the Apple
II community is now on comp.sys.apple2 or the Apple II Enthusiasts Facebook group.

iPad Mini or iPad Air... hmmm

Hopefully! It was never popular to bring up the Mac in this forum back in the day but I think those days are long behind us :).

I am running with a 2012 Macbook Pro Retina. It's my everything, amazing computer that is still cranking away despite its age. Yes only two years but that used to be an eternity in the personal computing world.

I have an early Mac Mini, thing could compete with any PC, in fact very few PC's of it age would work as well

That's the rub, how the OS can age hardware as it demands more and more of
it. I have not updated to later versions of iOS on my iPhone because of the slowdowns I experience when I do.

Yeah that's something I am beginning to see with the latest OS X upgrade. THis is the first upgrade I've done on this machine that's starting to make it feel a little slower than before. Not severe but I can definitely see how a newer, faster machine might perform better.

But overall it's holding up well - I put 16 gigs of RAM in it when I started so
    that certainly helps!
