• Hello out there in Amiga Land...

From Ray Sbaitso@1:19/38 to All on Sat Aug 18 14:21:46 2018
It's been a long time since I've posted on a forum on an Amiga BBS and it's great to see some networks are up and running. I'm curious to know how many folks are out there and how many are working with classics vs the current hardware.

Is there much activity in the other Fidonet Amiga forums? What does the NF stand for in the Amiga forum?

Great to be here, looking forward to posting.

Well, I am running a Amiga BBS and I also call out with it, but it is an emulated system. It is rare that I Call boards with a Syncterm or Netrunner.

Classic being (to me) any of the hardware put out by Commodore.
Current being the line of hardware from A-Eon, Eyetech, etc.

    then classic

I do not know what you are talking about. Which forum? This Echo
is calles "amiga" there is no NF anywhere.
The BBS I'm on has a Fidonet forum that is called Amiga NF, but I'm
not sure what the NF stands for. The BBS just connected to Fidonet so there aren't any old posts to go back and read.

BBSes can name the areas differently.
The fidonet area is called "amiga"

What do you mean classic vs. current Hardware?
I do have an Amiga 1200 and an Amiga 500.

They are purely used for recreational retro purposes if that was the question.

Is there much activity in the other Fidonet Amiga forums?

I do not know of other forums in fidonet.
There is an othernet calles amynet.
    There is some life there.
