• Amiga Expo - Vegas

From Allen Prunty@1:2320/100 to All on Sat Jul 30 01:03:16 2016
The time has come! The Commodore Vegas Expo v12 is this weekend, and we'll have all kinds of Commodore and Amiga computers for attendees to see and use. We'll have exhibits and presentations. We'll have CBM engineer Bill Seiler who was one of the
    designers for the VIC-20.
We'll have buying, selling, and trading. We'll have C= games, competitions, prizes, and music with a new sound system. All in our expansive room - Ballroom 9, third floor, of the Plaza Hotel and Casino at 1 Main Street in Las Vegas.
Set-up day is Friday, and the official fun happens from 11 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday; the unofficial fun is Saturday night after-hours in the CommVEx room.
    Hope to see you there!

    Sincerely,
    Robert Bernardo

Unfortunately what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Nothing like that in the Mid-West or anywhere within 800 km (500 miles for you die-hards) of the Great American Outback.

    Hi Allen!

30 Jul 2016 10:15, from Allen Prunty -> Dave Drum:

You can take a look at the Gotek floppy emulator.
Its flash is reprogrammable, and you can emulate floppies (ADF) with it.

I'm on the scout for an RGB monitor or two. Not all of my 'Miggys have VGA ports. I'm down to my sole working 1702 monitor which I found on a local FreeCycle list.

I don't have an RGB monitor... but I may have a compatable amber/white montior that may work. Sadly no color.

I will keep my eyes peeled for you.

I have my local recycler (BLH Computers - blhcomputers.com) on the lookout as well. I know Brian (the "B") from his being a satellite system customer of mine
when I ran Superior Satellite II. I have both green and amber screen monitors in stock. But, if I am going monotone I might as well use a VT-100 terminal. The Amiga *needs* colour. How else can one watch the NewTek Demo - or any Toaster output? Bv)=
