  • SDRPlay usb fault

    Hi,

    I cannot get my SDRPlay usb SDR radio to play on computer.

    It does not get picked up by the machine, in other words it does not "chime" when I plug it into the computer.

    Sounds like either a port or a driver issue. Try a different USB port and double check the driver installation.

    Might be a bit unrelated, but I got a MSi.SDR and the MSI001(?) chip would heat up a lot when plugged into the computer. PC doesn't detect it either. Try to disassemble the SDRPlay and check the temperatures of the chips with your finger, might give you some clues as to what's wrong.

    Sounds like some good troubleshooting ideas there. And I found out last night that the SDRPlay has issues in Linux (poor closed source drivers etc). Can't remember what your setup was.
