Center episode of "The Simpsons" taken out of syndication, right? Why
    don't
we just remove all reference to Oklahoma City since their Federal
    Building
    was bombed in 1993.

The WTC center episode of the Simpsons is still in circulation; it's on
my tiVo right now recorded off my local FOX station...

I know it is. But there were many people calling for its removal from syndication, and indeed its removal from the airwaves entirely. It's great that whoever is in charge of that sort of thing realized that those over-sensitive zealots who wanted it gone would more than likely not have watched it in the first place.

I'm not sure what the logic was to begin with....

When it was closer to Sept. 11th, (when the Simpsons ep was pulled) -
we were constantly inundated with images and stories about 9/11...24-7
    around the clock...

Four years later, we are still reminded at least on a weekly basis - if
    not, more.

If, at any point, someone was disturbed by Homer walking in the WTC -
then how was that person able to handle exposure to the media for the
    past four years?!

My point exactly. How can one be sensitive on one, but not maintain said sensitivity? Perhaps that's why we have such misguided organizations as the PTC in our midsts attempting to govern what we can and can not watch.
