OK episode. Burns' story was definitely on the softer side of his character (without nearly as much exploration or arc as, say, 1F01) and it had a bizarre lightning-fast resolution that basically amounted to "oh, I guess you're right". The variety show acts and so on were fun (compare to 2F31), though there was a bit more consequence-free bodily harm (Kirk, Sherri/Terri) than necessary. Homer's subplot about being responsible at work was cute. Best part of the episode might be the "S__ING__E_D" sign, which was pretty clever and not
overdone. And of course super short (21 minutes including credits).
Short entry for this episode.
DYN:
...apparently Homer's Super Soaker is left-hand threaded?
Previous episode stuff
2F14: "The sun is shining, birds are singing" at the start of episode reminiscent of very similar opening to that one
1F09: Accidental eye surgery in similar vein
