• Newsreaders for the visually impaired?

    From Aaron Tucker@1:123/141 to Fido.ABLED on Sat May 5 17:26:57 2018
I was going to ask about a QWK reader, but thanks to Doc's Place, I can read via windows live mail! If anyone knows how to make that dark, that'd be great. I really would love something with a nice terminal font too. lol.

Not much discussion here. I've also got a gastric pacemaker to stop pain from my stomach, since I don't digest food normally. It's a pain in the abdomen! Luckily, weed makes it all warm and fuzzy. Yay, Colorado!

That is great that you can use it there - I wish NY state would grow up and be
real... :( I swear Cuomo made it legal here to shut up complainers, but it's so
hard to get it here, it's not worth the trouble... :(

LOL, Hi Aaron, the place is slow because technically this once very popular echo doesn't exist on the 'backbone'.

Most folks do not know it exists anymore.

    Hi Carol,

LOL, Hi Aaron, the place is slow because technically this once very popular echo doesn't exist on the 'backbone'.

It's on my system and IIRC, the other Backbone systems (Mark Lewis, myself, and
Dallas Hinton). It's also listed in BACKBONE.NA. So it's still "on the backbone" :)

Most folks do not know it exists anymore.

That's probably true due to not much in the way of posts :(

    Take care,
    Janis

Aha! Ok, Bob had it delisted but I'd get the strays.

For a history, this echo ROCKED at 1,000 messages a day then split off to some 50 disablity echos and even another network called ADANET (American Disability Network).

So Aaron, what screen reader software are you using? I probably have some ideas. I recently was testing some for Yahoo.

Then Bob Seaborn had it wrong for years as a non-listed echo.

Really? Weird, because I am getting it at Z4, and here we usually have only the official echos...
