    True.. For some reason I didn't think of that at the time. I don't often use GPS though (only when I'm going somewhere where I'm not familir with the area, which isn't too often).

    True.. For some reason I didn't think of that at the time. I don't often use GPS though (only when I'm going somewhere where I'm not familir with the area, which isn't too often).

    working satellites on ham radio really only needs a hand-held yagi antenna and a cheap hand-held radio.

    You can make contacts all over the satellite's footprint as you track it across the sky with your directional antenna.
