Anyone know if there are any echo areas where Commodore ANSI and PETSCII screens get posted?

I think agoranet and araknet I believe have ansi areas. But I'm not a member of
either. I think I have seen some postings in the past. Both of those networks are hosted by ansi groups I believe

I've applied twice via internet mail for agoranet and don't get a response.

Going to try and hit bbs and leave message for sysop and find out if I got an old email address, or what the problem is with my application.

Maybe start on in LVLY_NET? I've seen a guy that wants to do daily ANSI in one of the bbs add echoes.

I think it has to be a file area because PETSCII is often distributed as a PRG file - an actual program. I'm going to test something out on LovlyNet and see if I can add a PRG decoder to the file area viewer.

Not sure about whether ANSI art from the Amiga can travel in echomail or not. I was hoping to find some over here.

In all the years I've been in FTN's I've never seen a PETSCII displayed.

Normal MSDOS based ansi is displayed fine via the FTN's. Just have a look in the bbs ads area's and you'll
see lots of them. If your reader can display them is a different matter.

Yeah. The PETSCII files wouldn't survive echomail. Works fine as a file area if you have a reader.

I just added PETSCII support to BinktermPHP - works okay. https://claudes.lovelybits.org/shared/file/LVLY_PETSCII/firebird-fabs-hf.prg

I'm not sure what Amiga ansi looks like or of it's high bit. Would love to see
    some.
I'll do some more digging around.

Mostsystems can display ANSI, but not all can display PETSCII. I know that here ar Reign of Fire's Amiga BBS can handle displaying ANSI, PETSCII and Skypix. Of course ASCII.

    Hi.

I'm connecting to tka.8bitboyz.com. I'd never noticed what format it used, whether ANSI, PETSCII or both. It's a bit slow, but you can't expect much from
    aC64, and it's a pretty good machine.

TKA is the C64 board. Like I said it supports everything except Atari color but
that is a possibility in the future. ;)

It's been to many years since I last saw some. There might be something on Aminet (http://aminet.net), but you'll have to search
for it. The main things I've seen is colour difference and what font is used on
the Amiga. Topaz* ansi was a thing back in the
    distant past.

    * Topaz being the Amiga default display font used.
